Default What is the difference between ...

a hot knife and scissors. I have just started unmounting my stamps. What a project. I started with my wheels and backgrounds. One more question... Do you stamp the image on the storage container or the back of the easy mount?

I stamped my images on the back of the EZ Mount. I didn't want to regret not doing it later so I did it right away.

When I converted some of mine this past weekend to EZ mount, I stamped them on the back with Staz On. I didn't necessarily get them lined up perfectly each time, but close enough to get a good idea of what I was stamping where... Still thinking about that hot-knife idea...

Does the hot knife get sticky like scissors?

hot knife doesn't get sticky cause it burns in a clump then you scrape it off the blade with like a pair of scissors or a knife. I have a hotblade and it works great for easy mount but you need a well ventilated area cause it has some pretty powerful fumes. I don't use mine in the winter. It gets very hot too i have burnt myself with it before and insta blister.... they are very nice to use when unmounted stamps that have already been cut cause you can cut the same place. I will be usin mine again when the weather gets nicer and i can use it outside...

It would be like the sticker on the wood block. It gives you an idea of the position of the stamp. It is also reference when you are looking through a pile of cases.
