Help with Inkadinkado stamp

I have the garden delights set. I have seen many beautiful cards in the gallery with the butterfly. I can never seem to get my stamp to ink completely or stamp a complete solid image. I last tried to emboss it and it would not hold enough embossing ink to get the powder to stick over the entire image. I am so frustrated with this stamp. Anyone have any tips?

Try covering the stamp in versamark ink first and then the ink of your choice without wiping off the versamark.

I am assuming this is a clear stamp set. when I used Inkadinkadoo's clear stamps I find chalk ink gives the best impression. Some of my SU dye inks don't work very well. Especially the lighter colors that seem to be thinner liquid. They tend to bubble up on the stamp and look uneven when stamped.

I also agree with the tip from RiverIsis. I have actually used that technique to emboss with dye ink very successfully.

I used to have this set and had a hard time with it as well. I used a white eraser (meant for chalk, but I'm guessing any one would work) and rubbed each of the stamps with it, cleaned them and stamped. It wasn't perfect, but did help. Also, I find that Stazon ink gives pretty good coverage for the cheaper clear stamps.

Hope you find something that works for you. I also used Versamark like the others mentioned and had some success with that.

Thanks for the help. I do find that my chalk inks work best with this set.
