Default Help! I need to make a LARGE card...

Fellow stampers... I need your help!

I was just asked to make a baby card (they don't know the sex) for someone having a baby at my sister's office by Saturday. She needs it to be large, she suggested about and 8 x 11 folded in half size... I'm so nervous. I've made many smaller cards before but not this large (maybe it's not that large but it seems it to me). Has anyone ever made a card around this size before? Any input, suggestions, samples would be appreciated! Thanks in advance for all your help!

Oh yeah, all I have for baby stamps are:
cuddle and tickles,
favorite teddy bear,
baby time wheel.

Wish me luck!!!

one of hte challenges for VSN last weekend was to make a large card like this. I wasn't able to play in that one, but here is a link to the gallery for them...

The challenge was to make them big and bold, so you may have to change images or colors for a baby card, but there are some really good layouts and ideas here! good luck!

I recently made a big card (see link below). It is that exact size as I basically just folded an 8 1/2 by 11 piece of cardstock in half. Obviously this is not a baby theme but maybe you could use the same layout but with your baby stamps. I used the big tag to pretty much fill up the card - maybe your teddy bear stamp is big enough to fit in there. I don't know what the baby time wheel stamp looks like but if it is round you could maybe work it in to this layout also. I wish you the very best of luck. I am sure whatever you create will be great. Don't forget to post it so we can all look!

I would do color blocking. Lots of impact and big space fillers. Good luck.

Do you have any Monograms, large alphas (like Letterpress or Headline) or even any chipboard?? If not, you could always try doing a Faux Monogram on the computer and then using the baby stamps that you have as accents.

That's a great idea too! I do incorporate the computer a lot in my cards! I could spell out Baby! Thanks!
