How do you mount vellum without seeing the adhesive? Thanks in advance for your help!

mom2kjs,
I put a small amount of adhesive under one of the images on the vellum, or, I will attach it with an eyelet, brad or piece of ribbon. Usually, I use vellum tape. It works great.

Okay, what if it's text on the vellum and I don't have vellum tape? And just where can I get vellum tape? I know, I'm difficult!

You can get vellum tape at Walmart, Michaels....

You can also use brads and eyelets to mount your vellum or you can run your vellum through a Xyron machine.

I like the idea about using the crystal effects! That is something that I always have on hand. I'll have to try this. I'm so glad that mom2kjs asked this question.

Ya know, i bought that vellum tape. Was really pleased w/how it worked.

UNTIL. . .

Until last week when I happened to pick up the card I made for my mom this past Mother's Day (don't ya just love it when someone keeps your cards out on display!!). There it was, screaming at me from under the vellum!! Yep! The tape looked AWFUL!!! It had gone from being nearly invisible, to yucky looking and sticking out like a sore thumb. UGH!

Gonna have to try CE next time I don't want to use a brad or eyelet.

Spray adhesive works, too, although it can get messy with the overspray -- be sure to lay out a piece of newspaper to catch the excess! The advantage with this is that the adhesive covers the vellum evenly, so you don't see the glue lines.

hmmm I have a can of spray adhesive but only used it for the dryer sheets. Will have to try it out on the vellum!

Default vellum

I use my zyron for this and it never shows through. I have tried glues, and vellum tape, but they show through. I will stick w/the zyron forever when using vellum.

Hope this helps!
