Question Help--how do I make address labels?

Ok--I am so computer challenged! I need to make labels for my catties. I have MS Word, but the only thing I've ever used it for is to type papers and announcements. Can I use it to make labels? And if so, how?

TIA for any help!

I went to Staples and bought address labes. The company was avery. The directions are on a sheet inside on how to use it with MS Word. Otherwise you can buy the labels and go to www.avery.com and type in the product number of the labels you bought and get the template. Good Luck!

Another bonus to using Avery is that their website has free software for making labels! 'Avery Label Wizard' I looooove this software. It's super easy to use and makes doing labels painless. I always had a rough time getting MS Word to do exactly what I wanted - often the alignment seemed off etc.

So just go to the Avery site, click on 'templates and software', select Avery Wizard for Microsoft Word, then select the correct version of Word from their list. It should start downloading automatically.

In word you can use the mailing wizard and just make one label the way you want it. The first time you type in you can't change the font, but later you can select all (ctrl A) highlight and then change anything you want and you get a whole page of it.

It's a bit tricky at first, but once the hoops are gone through, it works out.
