Sisters Stamping Together
Unfortunately, I am not able to stamp with my mom, but my sister and sis-in-law both share a passion for stamping. In fact, of the three of us, I'm the only one who isn't a demo. I don't need to be since I can help them reach their quotas and they give me a break on the cost. Sisters can be nice that way. We keep each other updated on what we own and let each other borrow from our personal stashes all of the time. They are the best!
Unfortunately I don't have any sisters and my sister-in-laws don't live anywhere nearby either. I have a few friends who like to stamp, but it seems like we can just never get out schedules together. Glad SCS has great programs like Secret Sisters and VSN.

Never! My sister keeps Hallmark in business and we've always joked she has cards ready for any occasion for the next 10 yrs.
She *should* like stamping seeing how much she likes cards, but I know my sister, she's not creative and she'd find it too difficult with her 2 kids.
I have 3 sisters, none of whom stamp or scrapbook. :(
I do, however, have two great sisters in Christ who love to stamp/scrapbook. We try to get together every couple months (schedules permitting) for a card day, and then there's always scrapmania at Archivers that we do quite often. It's wonderful to have someone to share your hobbies with. (My sisters love the cards I send them, but can't seem to get them interested enough to join in.)
My sister is 10 years younger than me. She started scrapbooking way before I did. She went to one CM party & was hooked. She tried for years to get me interested but I would not budge. It looked way too complicated & I couldn't see all the measuring and time it took for one page. One day my youngest dd came home from college with a scrapbook she had done & I loved it. It was very cute, had a lot of stickers & there was no pristine lines or anything. I said that I can do that and did. When my oldest dd was stationed in Killeen with her hubby she called all excited about going to a stamping party & decided to become a demo. My next trip out there she brought me to a workshop & I was hooked. I came home & begged my sis to try it but now she wouldn't budge. A weekend trip to the lake with her, my dd, & I was all it took. She watched us make one card, jumped in & the rest is history! I love my sis.

That's an awesome story. You qualify in both categories - mom/daughter and sisters.
My sister and I got into stamping at the same party. I invited her as my guest to a party I was attending. We were instantly hooked and decided to share everything to save on costs. Unfortunately, we've both gotten so hooked that we need our own stamp pads and paper stashes. Thankfully, we can still get by just sharing stamp sets.
I'm the only girl in our family, but I was lucky enough to marry a man with 3 wonderful sisters (he often jokes that I married him to HAVE sisters). We all get along great, but BillieBee introduced me to stamping (at her SU! party) over four years ago and we've been stamping together ever since. Now she's a demo, and we're having MORE fun than ever (I get to be her helper!).

I took my sister to the first stampin' up party I went to, and she signed up to be a demo that day. We live about 1,000 miles apart now, but she's still my demo. I send her copies of my work via e-mail, and she sends me catalogs, templates and other cool stuff in the mail. And of course, we make each other cards for all the holidays and special occassions.
The funny thing is, she and I have very little in common - two very different personalities, which shows in our color combos, stamp set choices and more - but stamping and scrapbooking are the one thing we both do!
I have 3 sisters and my mom who all stamp. My mom and one of my sisters and I stamp whenever we get the chance, but my other 2 sisters both live in the D.C. area. 3 of us are demos, but one of my sisters is getting out. Which is why I started selling, she is the one who lives near me. I would have to say my mom is my best customer, although I never make any money off of her, I could make my minimums on just her sales alone, and no, she doesn't want to be recruited LOL!

My sister just came to a workshop that I hosted last month and she is definately hooked! She is more of a scrapbooker, but I can tell that she is going to jump on the card bandwagon big time! I am seeing her this weekend to give her her order and a little bonus that I bought for her. I wish she was closer so that we could share supplies, though.

Thanks to my sister she's the one that got me started (more like obsessed) with stamping. 2 1/2 years ago she was having a Stampin Up Party and invited me. Now at that time I never even heard of SU so I thought oh well, I'll just go to make her happy. Well needless to say here it is 2 /12 yrs later and I'm more obsessed than she is. LOL - What are sisters for!!!!

My mom and I are going to get my sister hooked to stamping whether she likes it or not!
Mom is putting together a bunch of stamping supplies for her birthday gift in October. I started a technqiue scrapbook swap and will be giving her my set of pages. Well, okay, i admit. The techniques were sooo cool, that I signed up to do another set of pages so I could have a set for myself.
Well I haven't had the chance to stamp with my sister yet!
But she is moving to WI while her dh goes to school.
So she and I will get a chance to stamp togeher.
Right now she lives in Florida and I live in Illiois.
We will be about 2 hours away from each other.
I can't wait till she's here... The end of the month!
Also I found out that a Friend of mine from my younger days is also living in WI and his wife loves to stamp.
So it looks like I will be stamping alot this coming fall and year.
I have a few friends in the area that stamp.----But we never stamp when we are together........We talk!
Have ton's of fun!!!
Right K?
