Help with cloud stencil
Help! I'm cloud stencil challenged! I have had this stencil for over a year and I finally opened the package today. I tried sponging some bashful blue ink on my confetti white card stock with it and it looks terrible. I see some beautiful samples in the gallery with it but I can't seem to achieve the look. Anybody have some tips on how to use this?

I'm with you, Kathleen, and will be interested to see what kind of help you get. I've tried to use mine, as well, and my clouds just aren't as "purty" as the ones I've seen in the gallery. Not sure what I'm doing wrong.

I use a dauber. I start off the stencil about 1/2 " and make small, short strokes towards the stencil edge. Does that make sense?
Here's a card I made using it:

Okay - this is how I was taught.
Using a sponge, you're going to dab, dab, dab around the stencil.
First, you hold the stencil at about a 45 deg angle about 1/2 inch from one corner and dab around it. Then you move the stencil to the other corner and do the same thing. Next, you move the stencil just a little bit down and do it again. etc....
In other words, you move the stencil around, dabbing with the sponge around the stencil, keep moving the stencil and dab some more, until you're satisfied with your clouds.
It's hard to explain in words....
HTH,
Christine
