Default Monograms

When you make a set of monogramed cards, say for a teacher...do you use first or last initial ??? Thanks.

I think a more formal card would use the last initial, and a playful card could use either.

I have some with my first and my last initial, that I use for different things.

For a teacher, if it is a card they might make out to a student, use the last initial- since students don't use their last name. If you aren't on a first name basis with this teacher, also use the last name. Otherwise, it is up to you.

I've seen them done either way. Usually last name though.
