HELP!!!!!!

I REALLY need your help!! I have to make some Thanksgiving cards, but all I have that is semi "fall-ish" is one leaf stamp!!!! Is it possible to make a card with just that??? (I really don't want to use stickers or clip-art off the computer) If you have made any cards with limited supplies, PLEASE post the link here, or even if you just have any suggestions - I'd appreciate all the help I can get!!!!! Thanks so much, and HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!!!!!!!!!

Maybe you could find a pattern and make a "shaped" card. Try cutting the card so it's not the normal rectangle shape...trace a leaf, pumpkin, etc. with the fold at the top or side and cut it out.

I went to a class last year and made a really nice card with one leaf stamp. Sadly I can't find a picture to show you but there is a large amount of cards in the gallery under Thanksgiving that you can find HERE

I bet you'll come up with something beautiful

Yes, you can!

It is absolutely possible to make Thanksgiving cards with one leaf stamp. You just need to pair it with some coordinating cardstock and ink in coordinating earthtone colors (shades of brown, orange, gold, purple, green, teal, etc.). You could use cream, ivory or kraft cardstock as your neutral for the focal point. Coordinating ribbon in one or two of your chosen colors would add a nice touch. Twine is also great for fall or Thanksgiving cards and projects. Embroidery floss is also really inexpensive, comes in a great variety of colors and is easy to find locally (unless you live in a really remote area).

Stamp your leaf in different fall colors in a random pattern on your neutral cardstock. Stamp it again on a scrap, cut it out and adhere it with a dimensional or pop dot. Depending on the size of the leaf, you could possibly do two or three of them instead of one. Use some layers in coordinating colors, add some ribbon and a sentiment if you have something appropriate. If not, use a "thanks" stamp and pen or fine tip marker in a fall color. Stamp "thanks" and write "give" in front of it. Mixed fonts are all the rage so don't worry that your writing isn't the same as your stamp. You can even write "give" at a slant and in a different size.

Good luck and let us know how it turns out!

Maybe you could cut your leaf stamp out and use it as a slider with ribbon. The base layer could be covered with patterned paper and your sentiment.....

Lateblossom has a wonderful gallery! (love your gallery, Susan!) Here are a few cards from her gallery that use only one leaf:

Thanks for asking this and thanks for the links. I viewed some really awesome cards. It's the middle of the night and I just made five mini Thanksgiving cards for my co-workers from a post in the Thanksgiving gallery. I had also planned to make some Thanksgiving cards from my new SU set-Wandering Words but may have forgotten about it if not for this thread! Thanks for keeping me on track~!

What about stamping the leaf with Stazon onto coloured Vellum, then cut out the leaf. I had a page of baloons on a vellum sheet and did just that it turned out really well and had good comments from friends.

I saw a really beautiful card done with just one leaf, it was background with the leaf stamped randomly like Glitterati suggested then one print of the leaf that was copper embossed add sentiment and tada ;)

I did this...

I did this card, basically using one leaf stamp. It was inspired by another card which I can't locate at the moment.

I think it turned out beautifully. You can use colored card stock and a computer generated sentiment.

Please show us what you finally decide to do.
