Default Font size when creating your own sentiments?

Is there a 'standard' font size that sentiments are created in? I want to make my own for a specific card, but it's hard to eyeball the font size on a blank word doc or excel spreadsheet....to then cut out for placement on the card...

Toni.....The best way to judge is to print out the sentiment you want to use on the card (print it out on cheaper paper for judgement). That's the only way you are going to get the judgement of the size that fits your card.

If you were typing a letter to someone, it is best to use a 10-11 font size minimum so that those with a vision problem can read it in most cases. But that's just a guideline for business.

The size you choose would all depend on the style font and the placement on your project.

Print it out to best be the judge......it's only paper and ink.

I find that sometimes I need to use between 16 - 24 font depending on the font. I always print out a test run before committing it to cardstock.

It also helps if you format columns and then center those columns. It gives a nicer look to your sentiment.

A lot depends on the font. They vary quite widely. I print on a sheet of thin copy paper, lay it over the card and see how it looks, and then adjust if necessary. Anything from 18 up to the high 20s.

I always make it how I like, then check the print review page, so I can see what needs to be adjusted. I always set up the page before hand.

Hope that helps!
