I'm try to make a sympathy card for a man whose whife just died. She was only 44 years old. So can you give me some clues on what type of card to send him... My husband wants it done today.... Can anyone help...

I would say a "thinking of you" card, possibly in earth elements. Simple and kind. I find that lovely as a tree works well for male sympathy cards.

The thing with sympathy cards is that they do not have to be flashy or really cool--just sincere and SENT.

there are a bunch of great threads on 'sympathy cards' in the forums. I am thinking of one where Julie had posted a bit of poetry she uses for those. . . try a search, and you should get plenty of ideas.

ps - moved to General Stamping so you can get more feedback!

I have used roses, calla lilies and even a lighthouse. JUst acknowledging the loss and letting someone know you are there are the important things. I have sympathy verses, but the thinking of you certainly works. Sympathy cards are the one I don't have any made ahead- I usually make each to fit the people.
