Heading to Hobby Lobby - suggestions?

We're heading to Hobby Lobby today. It's an event since we don't live very close. Is there anything in particular I should check out? I have the 40% off coupon. Should I get some Pearl Ex, or...?

TIA,
Marcy

I would check the prismacolors, Basic Grey packs of paper, maybe some of the punches. I use my coupon (when I go) for something that I wouldn't normally pay full price for. Lean towards what you know you will use. ;)

I totally hear you about it being an event. The closest HL to me is 3 hours one way so I really stock up when I do go.

Ribbon, it's all on sale. I was there yesterday and bought 11 rolls for me and 5 for my SS.

Lots of the stuff will go on sale every month or two, like paper, ribbon, stamps, scrapbooks, but I don't know if prismacolor or pearlex does, at least not at better than 40% off, so those would be good deals with the coupon.

I'm not familiar with Prismacolors. Can somebody educate me please?

Prismacolors are probably the BEST colored pencils available. Well, maybe within pocketbook reason at least. They blend so nicely!!

If you can.. buy the biggest set you can afford. (Well, I guess you can blend colors too..) I think you can buy individual pencils too, but they are cheaper by far in the set. I've had my set for about eight years and still love them!

Thank you Kimberly! I've seen these in the artist's section but didn't really "study" them. Now I know how "valuable" they are. I may get a small set today, then ask for a big set for Christmas. :D

They also have a blending pencil that I find VERY useful when blending my pencil colors. Here's a link to that product:

It should be around $1. (That reminds me that I should get a couple more.)

When I was living in Kansas, I took a class on using Prismacolor pencils that I found to be incredible! I think the name of the store is Mrs. O'Leary's. They had a big holstein cow statue right outside the building. I suppose in reference to Mrs. O'Leary's cow. Excellent store with great classes! (So if anyone is in Wichita, stop there!)

I hope you had fun at Hobby Lobby!! I'm so jealous of you cos the closest HL to me is on Texas Ave in College Station (I'm in Canada).

Kimberly, thank you so much for sharing the links to the blending pencil! I have been scared off of the Prisma products because of all the conflict about blending stumps made in Taiwan or in China, but knowing there is another blending option is soothing!
