Default Make your own working area

I was just wondering if anyone knows how to mkae their own 12 x 12 paper holder metal rack or anyother item. My husband is Mr. Build It and was looking at several things and wants to try to build them. He liked the Crop In Style stuff and said he could build it better if he knew sizes. Can anyone help me. I want him to get it right the first time.

Thanks,
Cindy

Could you go to a shop and see how the racks there are built? You could play spy and secretly take down measurements. Better yet, are ther eany shows coming to your area? I saw lots of different styles of racks at the last scrapbook show I went to.

I actually say someone on ebay selling instructions for this and thought I could make it. (without paying for their instructions). If you have or can buy the black metal squares (they make the cubes). If you make one cube, then use some of the metal squares and zip tie them on the inside to make the shelving, if you need more shelves add on another cube and more shelving.

Here is the link to another one I saw on ebay:

Hope this helps
Julie

The one on ebay is just a rack bought at Target. They just bought the cubes and took the shelves and black tiewraps. They just took the shelf and put tiewraps on the sides and one in the back for support. It works great. They are about $14.

Default Storage Cubes for 12*12

I did this - one note I'd add -

If you have chipboard or posterboard, put that on the 'grid' first -- it'll stop indentations from getting on your paper. Maybe it's where I had mine (basement in the Midwest - can change temps throughout the year) but this solved it.

The wire cubes are on sale at Target this week... $12.99
We just bought two and used one for shelves and the other one for the cubes. Works great.
