I'm so exicted I"m gettin' all the ink pads and refills and I need a storage unit but I dont want to spend too much because I still live at home and when I move out in the near future I'll probably need something different. Any suggestions for cardboard ones.
Karen - do you have one of these? I'd really like to see a picture of one full of the new (and old) SU! pads. The photo on line is difficult because it's small.
Cat,
I don't. I was going to get it, but it does not work for the space I needed it in. I stamp in a closet and my desk is against the back wall and it would quite make it between my shelves.
I have seen pictures of it in use in the gallery and it sure looks good!
HTH

For now, I have two of those plain photo boxes you can get at michaels, etc for my craft ink and brilliance inks. I stand one box on end and can get two stacks of SU pads in the box. If you lay the box on it's side and you can get 3 shorter stacks -- but my space required me to stand the box on end.
A box on its side will hold 4 stacks of stazon/brilliance ink pads.
I have had one of the cardboard ones from the Inkpad Palace for a couple of years and really like it. The cardboard is very thick (my DH was even impressed when I received it) and durable. I don't have a way to submit a picture of it at the moment or I would.

I store my ink pads the same way you do and I must say it works very well....AND saves money which I can use to buy more stamps and paper!
There is another company, that sells a cardboard ink holder. I can't remember the name of the company. I'll check my favorites. The one that I'm talking about holds one pad per shelf.

FYI... because I didn't know this... When you buy a full set of classic pads the box they come in folds into a great storage box... it stores the pads on a very slight angle, but I stored mine in the boxes for months and saw no ill effects from them being on an angle. It's really quite a nice way to store your pads.
I store all my stampin up pads in the boxes that they came in and have the mother rubber cardboard boxes for my other pads. Works great and as a previous post stated, very heavy cardboard. Good quality for the price. I'm sorry I don't have a way to post a pic.

Bless you Anna! I have had a cheap CD box for most of my pads, but I just started aquiring craft pads and there was no more room for them! The photo box (I had TONS OF THEM!!!) fits perfectly on my desk and I use leftover scraps to make little rubber feet in the front so they tip ever so slightly and don't fall out when I remove one! Thank you thank you thank you for the GREAT idea!

Thanks Karen for the reply. I have space since I have an adjustable shelving unit. Organizing my ink pads is the very last thing I need in my stampin' storage space (I just posted pics last week in my gallery). I had a friend over one day this week to stamp, and we could never find a single color we needed as all my inks are stacked in a drawer of my iris carts.
The photo boxes are perfect! I just read this thread yesterday because my ink pads are all jumbled up in a drawer, but I can't afford SU's organizer. I got the boxes on sale at AC Moore for $1.50 each. Great suggestions, everyone!
Thank you Thank you for the photo box idea-that is awesome!!! I have a space for all my regular pads but am slowly but surely building up my craft and need a good spot for them-this rocks!
