Default Have I ruined it?

Help! I just dumped an entire container of red embossing powder on top of my opened VersaMark pad. Is there any way to clean it?

Yikes! Good question. I am guessing you already tapped off as much as you could, can you take a paper towel and blot away until it is gone?

Oh my goodness. Getting ep out of a VersaMark pad is a real bear.

It has been my experience (since I ruined 2 VersaMark pads with dry ep at a class in November) that ep is impossible to completely get out of the VersaMark. Get as much off of it as possible and reink.

You can not rinse out the VersaMark pads like you do the classics. It doesn't work. Been there done that.

Sorry for the bad news.

I wonder if packing/shipping tape would help 'pick up' more of the granules of e.p. After that, you could re-ink the pad really well, and perhaps the rest of the red bits would float to the top? Stamp a few times and see if it comes off? I don't know, but I always have visions of doing this and getting mad at myself!! I won't feel so bad when it DOES happen now! ;-)
