Default Has anyone ever tried to stamp???

Has anyone tried to stamp the inside sentiment of a card on the outside of the clear display bags? I have been stamping a separate piece of card stock to insert in the display bags so the customers would know what was on the inside of a card without having to look. I recently bought some stazon and it said it stamps on plastic and dries in 3-5 min so I tried it on the card display bags I bought from clearbags.com and it worked. After 5 minutes I rubbed my thumb over the words and it didn't smear. Would love to know if anyone has tried this and the pros and cons before I do any more.

I've done it using StazOn before and it works great! To me that's the way to go! Just remember to go down and up without turning the stamp at all, or it will smudge and then give it room to dry...after that you are good to go.

A lot of boutique-style cards will have a label on the back of the clear display bag with the sentiment printed on it. Printing or stamping out your sentiments onto return address labels or mailing labels is another alternative.

I stamp on copy paper so they can see the font being used. For darker card bases the StazOn wouldn't show up (unless you used white!)

I normally just use a post it note on the back of the card with the inside sentiment...I buy the generic yellow and they work great. I have nearly 1500 cards sitting on my shelf all ready for the two swim teams that I provide cards for their fundraisers. It is a nice tidy little amount of money for me in the October/November/December time frame. This is the way I prepare all my cards for sale, card, white or ivory envelope, post it with inside sentiment on it and package in clear envelope. Works for me! Blessings.

Default sentiments on bags

I stamp the sentiment on a return address label if it is small enough, then stick it on the back of the bag

Thanks for your responses, all great ideas I will have to try. Yes when stamping with the stazon on the clear bags it definately smears if you don't have a steady hand. Like the mailing label idea but the sentiment I recently used wouldn't fit. Haven't tried the sticky note yet, but will keep it in mind too. Also copy paper is a good idea with the dark cards and less expensive than the card stock. Thanks to all!

I computer-printed the words "Inside reads:" and my name and logo, 4 times to a copy pages and cut it into quarters. When I stamp the inside of a card, I take one of the copy sheets and immediately stamp in the same color onto the sheet, and insert it into the back of the clear envelope, behind the card's envelope. I really like this system. I recently added at the top of some of these the following "NOTE: Raised embellishments may require extra postage." I use them for card that have any bumpy ribbon knots or brads.

I use sticky notes and put either "Blank inside" or "Inside reads:" and then stamp the sentiment. Much easier!
