Default Handmade vs. Store Bought Comparison List?

Does anyone know if a list exists that compares why a handmade card is better than a storebought card? If no one knows of a list, can you list what you think they are here? TIA!

I just left a comment for a card that was a "Thank you for the summer happy hour" . . . last time I was in Hallmark I didn't see a section for that . . . so that would be one reason, to personalize your sentiment.

I go crazy when I am shopping for a card, and a procrastinator, so it is much easier for me to whip out a card for a birthday/anniversary/thank you at home at the last minute instead of browsing the lanes at the store with two kids.

Stamping keeps me sane.

I never met a whole bunch of fellow card lookers and I have fellow cardmakers here on SCS.

People know you cared enough to make it yourself.

I am sure people can think of more

I don't know of a list... but I'm interested to hear what other people say!

Here's one:
With a handmade card, you know someone spent more than 2 minutes looking for a card for you!

Default Thanks Gals!

These are really great ones! Keep 'em coming! And thank you! The reason I want this is because I am a newer SU demo and am having trouble drumming up customers. I thought I could make up a flyer to put in the mailboxes in my town to introduce myself and my business and thought this would be good info to put on the flyer!

I like the fact that they can be so personalized to the person and they realize that you put some thought into it. Like their favorite hobby or flower on a birthday card or a favorite color for the paper, etc.... I recently made my dad a bowling birthday card and did a wedding card using their colors. Just my thoughts....

The card can be definitely personlized to the person. It also shows that you were interested in them by spending some extra time and effort int making them a card. Would you rather have a homemade card than a store bought?

Ok, first thing, I don't believe you can put non mail stuff in mail boxes. You can though make door hangers for their front doors. Next the reasons listed above are excellent. I'll add that people I make cards for appreciate my cards more than store bought ones.
