Can anyone tell me why they are called opaque? I mean, are the regular stazon ink pads not opaque? I've been wondering this since I've seen them in the new TAC catty(which, btw, ROCKS!!). = )
TIA
Kathy
yes, regular staz on pads are not opaque. The new ones are thick enough that you can not see through them, that is why you are able to stamp them on black card stock and have them show up. I love the white staz on opaque.

Ooohhh, black cardstock. That sounds like a neat idea!
Remember Stazon is designed for non-porous surfaces, especially the lighter colors. You may find the pale colors soak into cardstock and fade. If you want true pale colors on dark cardstock you will want to use craft ink and emboss.
Thanks Lisa and all the rest of you for your comments on this! Now I can sleep finally! = )
Yes, I think that is a major point you made Fran about it being for non-porous surfaces and how it can soak into the cardstock etc etc.
This site is just fabulous- unless you have other things you should be doing - very hard to drag myself away from here!! = )
Thanks again!
Kathy
I just picked up the Soft Lilac pad today at AC Moore, just so I could try this ink out before paying shipping costs to get the white one from SU!, and I absolutely LOVE it! I was looking for some more options for stamping on tiles, and wanted lighter, softer colors than were previously available in StazOn pads. The result is so pretty! I can't wait to get one of their 40% off coupons so I can go back and get another color!
