Oh! I'm excited for you!!! What I have and love is a large table with 3 iris carts slid underneath. Then on another wall I have two file cabinets that are only two drawers deep. But they are double wide. Shoved together they make another surface, and they are made of wood. I got them at Office Max for around $100 a piece. Above the file cabinets my DH put up 3 long white melamine shelves. I keep stuff in baskets on the shelves so it doesn't look so cluttery.

I just put a pretty flowered plastic tablecloth over my table, it's not beautiful but doesn't look bad either.

Let us know how your room progresses, I bet you are staying awake nights planning it!

I was at IKEA yesterday for the first time. I found myself drooling over their modular office solutions. Very nice looking and plenty of storage options. If you don't mind building your own furniture, they certainly are a good price.

Default stamping desk

I have one of those old metal office desks and I just love it! The top is large, smooth (pretty dent-proof too) and easy to clean; it has two pull-out shelves over each row of drawers (one I use for cleaning supplies and one for my cutter), and one of the drawers is a filing cabinet (where all my 8.5x11 paper is stored). It's also plenty deep so my stamp pad storage fits on top. It's not much for looks, and is VERY heavy, but we got it cheap at either a thrift sale or a used furniture place, and it has been just perfect for my stamping area.

Good luck creating your own stamping space!

Lucky you! a room just for stamping. My one advice is to make sure there's no "give" on the top surface of whatever you buy. When you press really hard (like on a background stamp or any large stamp), it doesn't seem to stamp evenly unless the table is very rigid. Just lean hard on anything before you buy it!

I have a couple tables that I put in an L shape and I love them...They are actually dining tables from a Cabin that our family has.... One is regular dinning room size (not huge) and the other is a side table about 18 inches deep and 3 foot long....

I like large workspaces so I would go for something deep and long!
