Grrr so peev'd at my demo!!!!
........And I think it's time to get a new one!!!!!!
First some background I've only been with her for about 4 months (found her b/c a friend of mine wanted me to join her 6month club with her).
First month was SAB...........spent $175 at that club party.
Second month spent $200 and specifically told her that I needed her to call me when the stuff came in b/c i needed it for 5 bday cards i had to do that month.............e-mailed her 3 weeks later.............no response in 3 days, called her...........no return call. I ended up borrowing stamps from my friend to do my cards!!
And for lasat months club I just spent the minimum of $25. But it was for a set for my DS's first bday (bugs and kisses). Well it's the same song and dance for this order as it was for the last one!!! Sure I understand that there can always be internet problems (although the emails with monthly specials always seem to get to me just fine), etc..................but when i physically call an leave a message it would be nice to get some kind of a response. I mean if I were here I would definately want to keep my business with me.................geeesss am i asking too much?
So DS's bday is Sunday.................just got back from my lunch hour, wich i spent searching for an ant stamp that i finally found at Mike's for $4.00 So yep now i'll have another ant stamp..............grrrrr I'm just frustrated about this..............
WWYD if you were me.

3 weeks is a super long time to wait. I do not think it has ever taken more than one week for my SU! stuff to get to me after a party. You definetly need a new demo! Why are you not a hobby demo?? With orders like yours and doing your own club you could make your quota and get the discount!!

Ditch her
Wow - you sure need a new demo. I get my stuff in about 8 or 9 days after I give her my order. And to think we are in Canada and it comes from Utah.
That is terrible customer service and you sure spend enough to get the Cadillac service.

I know that things come up, and I hate to say 'find a new demo', but if communication is an ongoing issue, it may be time to find someone else.
Hope this all works out for you!

I've seriously considered it. But want to wait for the right time. DH is military and we might be having to leave within the next 6 months..........don't want to build a client base just to leave and start over again.
And I'm not exactly sure of the start up cost.

i changed demos a couple yrs ago- the old one was miffed but i told her i hadn't heard from her in months and i thought she wasn't selling anymore.
she is one who seems to hobby demo in several different things. maybe she just hits it hard when there is something she wants to earn.

I agree...find a new demo or become a demo yourself!!
As for finding an upline or new demo I know that there are a couple SCSers that are in the OKC area!

Hey! I'm from OKC! If you are in need of a demo, my BFF is one. She lives in Yukon, but I'd be happy to hook ya'll up!
By the way---I miss OKC! DH is also active duty military, so I know about the moving!

LIke any Industry
I usually give any business a couple of chances and then I move on. Sounds like you let your demo know your frustration and if nothing improved, you should find someone who won't cause so much frustration over such a fun hobby.

Doesn't sound like good service to me! Hey, now that you know we live near each other just e-mail me if you need anything. (Nope, not a demo anymore.)
OT- Is your DH at Tinker, too?

I wonder if there is any way out of the club? Prehaps you can tell her that you are unable to continue and see if she can fill the spot with someone else??? IF NOT I would only place the min. order and do as you plan!

Definitely find a new demo. I had the SAME problem with my demo, so I became one! My customers say they LOVE the fact that I keep them up to date with everything now! In fact, a lot of them were her customers and found me.... I think knowing what it's like to have this problem with a demo has made me a better demo I don't want my customers to have to go through the same thing.

Definately find a new Demo- or better yet become a hobby demo yourself. The amount of $ you have spent in the past would have met your quota for the quarter.
If you join now you have until Oct to meet your quota

I would tell her at the next meeting that you are sorry but you can no longer participate if she can not get you your items in a timely fashion. That is just unacceptable to not get you your items. Maybe even talk to the group and see how they feel. I don't mean to gang up on her but the others are suffering too. If she takes offense hopefully the whole lot of you will drop her. That is horrible customer service. The least she could do it send it to the hostess so she can get it to you. SOrry you have had such bad service.

Hey, this sounds so familiar. I am not in a club, but my daughter was. she would place her order, usually around 60.00 for the club each month, then we would make our want list and turn in an order anywhere from 150-300 a month. One month it was 500. Well, she got things in the mail of when the club would be, but I have yet to receive any thing. No e-mails, nothing. It always took at least 2 weeks to get an order. Anyways, I'm not satisfied, either. Grannypat

Yep a new demo is in order. By the way, I would show up on her front dooestep and ask for my order. But that is me. It is up to you if you want to be this bold. But then you would have your order!LOL

Don't hesitate to find a new demo. They way someone responds tells you how much your business is valued. If she has not explained to you that she has had some personal problems to cause her lack of response, then it must be that she thinks your business is not so important to her. Go somewhere it is valued.

I'm so sorry this is happening to you. I have to say this is what my former demo did, too--- I became a demo 2 years ago partly out of sheer frustration with her!! Do finish the club as you plan, but find someone else for those bigger orders. Have you tried the demo locator on SU!'s site? It will first bring up the demo closest to you, and at the bottom of that page, there is a link to the names of 10 more. Check out their websites and see whose style suits you, then place an exploratory order (not a huge one either) to see how you are treated. Best of luck!!

New demo. Bad business practices, bad customer service. Just b/c you spend that amount of money doesn't mean she doesn't still have to work for your business in my opinion. I have a pet peeve about customer service. Sounds like you gave more than one chance to rule out the possibilites of technology, things happen, etc. Good Luck!!

I'm sad and a bit mad that someone is out there giving ME a bad name! That's how I look at it, when another demo disappoints their customers.
Even though SU officially says to allow 'up to 10 business days' for delivery, I tell my customers that SU will have the order to me within one week after I place the order - and they DO!
OBVIOUSLY your demo is either not turning in the orders promptly, or she doesn't let you know ASAP when they come in. I call my folks within hours, because some of them stop by on their way home. The others get delivery the next day, or whenever they want it!
The only time I wait to place an order is if I have checks from new customers that I don't know... in that case, I will wait for the deposit amount to be available. My bank usually does that within 2 days - so the order arrives 9 days after my customer asked for it!
I understand that you probably signed a 'club contract' and feel obligated to honor your commitment, and I agree that a minimum order will get her attention.
Just be aware that ANY demo can do a customer-direct order and have items shipped to your house. So if there are stamp sets you want, find another demonstrator; use the SU home page locator to find one near you!

Yeah, if you were ordering so much, your demo should've just had your order shipped directly to you. I do that. Also, if one customer orders over $150, I give her all the Hostess freebies.
Sounds like you order a lot so why not just become one. I am a hobby demo and I love it. Well, I spend more but my collection has grown and I get discounts.

Can you really be FORCED to stay in? I don't think so...there was someone who dropped out of my stamper's 10 when I was in it cause she was too busy. I say quit if you want to.

I agree, if it was once, then maybe you give her another chance but after all this...
Although do you still have 2 months in your club agreement? You don't want to let the other girls down, even if you don't care for the demo. I've never done a club but isn't that how it works? So if it was me when the club was done I'd get a new demo, and probably make only min orders till then.

I'll just throw my two cents in even though it's already been said. Find a new demo! 3 weeks and no communication is just plain wrong. Finish up your club commitments and think about being a demo! All you need is $300 per quarter which averages to about $100 per month. You've easily spent that. And, since you brought your day care provider into the club take her with you when you sign up and she can be your first customer!

It's $199 for the kit and like a PP said, you don't have to meet the minimum until the END of October!
Also, another PP mentioned it averages out to be $100 a month, but you have to remember to take your 20% off of that!

Ever heard of 3 strikes. Sounds like this demo had hers. I feel the same way about any business I frequent. First time they screw up I am more than understanding. Second time, well it happens. Third time they screw up they have lost my business for good. Why keep giving your hard earned money to someone who is taking advantage of you. You are under no obligations to this demo. Find someone who appreciates you!
