Hi Nancy! The retired list is stamps that will no longer be available after August 10th. The dormant list is stamps from previous catalogs that you can still get, but they are not in the main catalog due to space restrictions or seasonality.
The dormant list for this coming catalog has been posted to demos already, so if you want to see it, you should contact your demo. Hope that helps!
