I like the pack you can get from Michael's. It is their brand.

SU's is great but it's called Crumb Cake. Just to confuse you!

I love the heavy weight kraft card stock from Gina K and Papertrey Ink. Use it ALL the time, and the heavy weight makes such a nice card base!

If I am using it as a card base I use SU..if it's just to stamp an image on or to layer I use good old Mike's.

Picked up a pack of kraft cardstock at Hobby Lobby for a project...surprised to find out how heavy it is...used 40% off coupon. Paper pack was 12x12.

This what I use, too. It is a nice weight and color. And reasonably priced, and I can just pick it up and don't have to pay shipping. It's 8-1/2 x 11, which is great because I mostly make A2 cards. When they have a sale, I usually stock up on packs of it and their other colored cardstock. The brand name is Recollections.

Two sources I use are My Favorite Things, 100 lb, I believe. Here is the link. They also have matching buttons and ribbon

And another I like is from The Kraft Outlet. They actually have two shades, Light and Brown. The brown is a very warm tone and the light kraft is probably similar to crumb cake. It is not quite as heavy though - 80 lb.

I love Gina K's for single layer cards. You can actually colour with your Copics on it too which is nice.

I do like the Michaels stuff for layering but it's too flimsy for card bases. It's o.k. to stamp on but not colour on.

My favorite kraft is actually from Canvas Corp. I love how warm and rustic it is.

In the past I would have agreed. However, I just opened my first pack of Kraft from Michaels (bought on sale last Christmas) and it is pretty substantial, not substantial enough for a bazillion layers but easily for an A2, one to three layer card that is light on embellishments.

I did specifically buy it for layering and ended up making several OLC with it just playing. I have other, older packs of Recollections cardstock that I wouldn't say this about that look and feel cheap if you attempt to make a card base out of them.

To the OP I would consider use/investment. FWIW I normally make my cards out of Neenah Classic Crest Solar White. HTH.

Thanks for all the info everyone! I am going to get Crumb Cake from Stampin' Up and give it a try, just because I have other stuff to order from them and can combine shipping.

I will definitely keep Gina K in mind.

Canvas Corp looks interesting, but I have been trying to look through their catalog and it is a very slow process. Their site is pretty bare bones, the catalog takes a very long time to load and even then, getting through it is a very slow proccess.

That would be great! The packs are so small. Would love to be able to buy larger amounts.

I googled it and found REAM - Brown Kraft Cover Weight Cardstock and Kraft Kottage- Your online source for Kraft Brown printing supplies

I haven't heard of either before so can't recommend, maybe someone else has?

I use Neenah Desert Storm, and purchase it by the ream (250 sheets) at my local Kelly Paper for around $30. It's 80#, and works great with copics!

Those look like they are definitely worth checking out. Was looking at Kraft Kottage and you can get 20 sheets of the Kraft for $4.20, and shipping would only be $3.50. Not a savings that way, but a small investment to give it a try.

Oh, no! I just tried putting some paper in my cart at Kraft Kottage and got a message saying...

"At this time, this merchant is not accepting orders. Please check back later. "

Boooo!

Paper Temptress has a variety of Kraft cardstocks- I bet she will send you samples if you request them.

The good thing about shopping with her is that you can buy all different kinds of papers one sheet at a time...... and believe me- I love them- lots of Gorgeous papers and varieties.......

Well, that looks like a tempting option. She carries the Neenah in packs of 90 that ship for just over $5. That seems really reasonable.

I like the Recollections brand from Michaels but it is very dark...nice for some projects and weight is okay. I also get the Kraft from a muse studio and what I like there is that it's light in color with little flecks in it. Beautiful and a good weight too So many choices!
