Default Gold Pen Needed

I am in need of a nice gold pen to write out my Christmas Cards and have bought a couple that do not work well!! Does anyone have a good one that writes on dark card stock, shows up well, is pretty and can share the brand and where you purchased it from.. I bought a Galaxy pen and the color is awful on my burgandy cardstock ..... Help.

I bet someone out there has a favorite kind. Thank you all!

They are available at WalMart.

My favorite metallic pens are from Creative Memories.

I think there a two sizes and several colors.

I've had no problems with them skipping or clumping. They "flow" very nicely.

Default Gold pen

I agree with Liz CM's gold pens are the best !!!! They write evenly and no blobs.

I had the same problem - I went to 5 stores before I found what I wanted.

I ended up getting my gold pen from Staples - I think the brand is Pentel and it cost about $2.50. I've had no problems with it and it shows up great on my cardtsock.

I bought mine in the Wal-mart craft section. It is made by Fiskers. I signed over 80 Christmas cards with no problems and have written in dark cardstock with it too.

Mine is a ZIG PAINTY - gold and silver. Didn't I buy that from my demo? Works well.

Here is another vote for the Creative Memories metallic pens. They have gold, silver, COPPER, and green metallic for sure. I'm sure there are a few others though. HTH

I love the ones I have from Sanford uniball. They are gel impact pens. They come in a two pack of gold and silver. I love them. I also just found sharpie markers in a gold and silver pack that is made for poster board. Works great on card stock.

I am not a demo. Why have none of you told her to buy a ZIG PAINTY from SU? It's one pen with gold on one side and silver on the other. It's an opaque oil based paint marker.

I am a Demo, but just last night my Zig Painty leaked gold ink all over a card I was signing. I think I will call it a Zig Painy instead!

I was looking for a bronze pen earlier this month. Ladies on this site gave me some wonderful ideas. Of the ones I was able to find, I liked the ZIG Painty pen the best. Great color. Much nicer than the Galaxy. Got it at AC Moore's.

Last Holiday season, Target had all kinds of inexpensive gold pens: Rollerball, Sharpie, pentel and another one...can't remember. I bought a variety and gave them with teacher gifts since I was giving card sets on navy cardstock. I bought a couple for myself and the worked fine.

I don't think you want to write your Christmas cards out with a paint pen...they stink and would be messy with all that writing IMHO. No offense to anyone!

I can tell you that the Uniball gold and silver pens are WONDERFUL! They were recommended to me on another board a few years ago. In my experience, they have ALWAYS written smoothly and the ink flow is perfect. I use mine, especially the gold, all the time.

You can't go wrong with the uniball pens!

The ZIG PAINTY is oil based paint, not ink, therefore, very opaque. I really like mine. It does "stink", but dries quickly and then the smell is gone.

I did all my cards this week with the ziggy pen and was feeling good afterwards

The one from SU! is great because of the fine tip, but I can see how some people wouldnt want to use that for their cards.

I also vote for Creative Memories pens..... but they were at one time made by a company called Sakura (I think that is the right spelling) and you can find those at some craft stores......in case you can not find a CMC that has them right away.
