I just got my SU demo kit and in it are the pastels. Of course, it does not come with daubers. Is there anything else I can use instead until I get some? Also, any quick tips on using pastels? I never have before. Thanks so much!

Rather than daubers, I like to use cotton balls and Q-tips. I also have a 'Chalking Tool' that grabs onto various sizes of pom poms, and I like it best of all. It works somewhat like a mechanical pencil... push the top down, and three little prongs come out a grab the pom pom.
Hoping this helps so that you can get started 'playing' with your pastels right away
Have a FUNtastic day!

You can also use the pastels with your blender pens. Just dip the pen tip into the pastel, and color away. Then, to change colors, just color on scrap paper until your pen runs clear.
I use the little pointed eyeshadow applicators...they're great for doing detailed work.

I have been using that tool for some time and love it...I sometimes use the blender pen after I use the pastels...someone else suggested using the blender pen right in the pastel...I was afraid it might get it too "wet", but maybe I'll try that, too! I love the pastels because they make everything look "soft" and it is easier to shade with them.

I use the makeup sponge with them. works great for me. If you like the
daubers you can get them on bee scrappy. They sell them in packs of 5 for 3.00, looks like su ones, but I never tried them.
My demo told me to pick a corner of the pastel for using the blender pen and ONLY and ALWAYS use the same corner. The blender basically seals up the pastel and you won't be able to use the dauber/ qtip/ etc as well if you've covered the whole thing with blender fluid.
