You have to sign up under a current demonstrator. You can use the locator to find one in your area.
I found someone on a scrapping site that I liked and signed up with her. She lives states away and has been wonderfully supportive. It is all in what you are looking for.
You need an upline. You might try the demo locator at www.stampinup.com to find some near you. I suggest you talk with a few to see who might be the best "fit" for you.
Shannon, see if you can find a few more since you haven't found one you've connected with yet. Just put in a different address (still close by) and new names will probably pop up. Your upline is important, so chose wisely!
Many, many of us have long-distance downlines, me included. But we are not allowed by SU or by SCS to recruit people here online. I have to agree with everyone that says to keep looking for someone in your area that you connect with. Think about how far you would be willing to drive for a stamping class. If you aren't willing to drive an hour away, then don't go out that far looking for an upline.
