For gelato users
I've just purchased my first set of gelatos (Michael's version) and want to figure out if I can stamp on top of a gelatos background and what is the best ink to use. Still looking for an answer.
But, in my search I came across the nice tutorial/explanation of gelatos and just thought I'd share. I've never heard of this site, but some nice things. http://www.vampstampnews.com/article...VSN-082013.pdf mob |
I haven't tested yet but my BFF has used Versafine ink. She doesn't get as crisp an image as usual but it works.

I tend to use Rangers Archival black mostly if I am stamping on a surface that I've coloured with anything other than watercolour or distress ink. And most certainly you can stamp over Gelatos.
I see that I only list Versafine here - but I had used a baby-wipe to smooth and soften the Gelatos, so the surface was quite matt. If you apply them thickly, it can be a little more slick. MMTPT348 An Irish Rainbow |
I've used Memento Tuxedo Black with good results, as shown on the card linked below.

This is great, thank you for sharing!

Thanks for the link! I bought a set of gelatos for cheap at a Barnes and Noble after-Christmas sale. I'm going to use them to make sprays. I bought a bunch of mini misters, and I'm going to have a spray for each color. Way cheaper than buying a bottle of Distress Spray, and I have multiple uses for it, too.

Target carries Up&Up Watercolor Gel Crayons, around $4 for a set of eight. I've been quite pleased with them.
