Default Galveston Stamping Recommendations

I am moving to Galveston TX and I am looking for stamping/scrapping recommendations. Searching online, I can't find a LSS on the island. Where oh where are the craft stores? Any recs for a SU demo? Anybody part of a stamping/scrapbooking group? TIA

Are there no SCSers in Galveston?

Am I moving to the end of the world?

The only thing Galveston has is Walmart . There is no Michael's, JoAnns or any LSS. However, just up I 45 I believe there is both Mike's & JoAnns. My DD lives in Galveston, (working out of town now though) so I will ask her for you where the nearst LSS is. I believe it's in Pearland. Are you going to school there? I haven't met anyone from there on SCS (except DD) but there are quite a few from the Houston area which isn't too far. Good luck!

I think there's a store or two in Kemah (closer to you than Pearland) and there might be something in League City. I would just google scrapbook stores and the city to see what you come up with (you will most likely have to go out some as Galveston doesn't really have much related to that).

Thanks so much for the info. My husband and I are moving for jobs on Galveston. Right now I'm really spoiled as I am walking distance to Archivers. Perhpas I'll save some money without any stores close by!

Are you in Texas now? If not, you'll love it here... There are SCS'ers all over Texas... not sure about exactly any in Galveston, I'm in the panhandle...2 days away!

I haven't been to Galveston in ages, but some of the gift shops on the strand might have some scrapbooking stuff even though they aren't scrapbooking stores.
