Smile Petal Points......

Funny little coincidence. My son, Tad, has been working for a plastics manufacturer for the past few months. Says that he never knows what he's making. Just little plastic bits and pieces that come out of a mold and get shipped off somewhere else.
Tonight he came over to chat for a few minutes. I was stamping on cards using one of those Petal Point ink pads from ColorBox when he came in.
"What's that thing in your hand?" he asked.
"A rubber stamp." It makes a big background design."
"No. That other little black thing."
So... it turns out that they have been manufacturing millions of the little black plastic "petals" for the ink pads. They just switched to the "cat's-eye" shape this week.
Funny that my "habit" might be supporting his work.

I think that's pretty neat!

and now he gets to go back to work and tell his coworkers what those little things were :-) You know, it's too bad that companies don't tell their employees what they're making - you'd think it would make the job a little more interesting.

Hey, Garnet, were ALL doing what we can to support your son's work!! And I personally will do all I can to continue to support him, as well as those countless others who make all the other parts to all these stamping products that I buy. It's our duty, right????

Yeah Right! I figured I should go out and buy a bunch more inks in the Petal Point format real soon.
