Default Foam Stamps

Ok, I'm just curious... if you use foam stamps, how do you clean them??? I like them, they just don't seem as sturdy as rubber or acrylic stamps and I'm so afraid I' going to rip or "break" them! So how do you clean, care for, and use your foam stamps??? Thanks in advance for input!!!

If you have baby wipes, I wipe them first with those (when I have them on hand...not often though as I do not have children). I do not like to rub them in my stamp scrub because they make a mess of it and then I have to clean it before using it again. I also like to clean then with a toothbrush and running water only. Sometimes, I use the disposable paint trimmer thing.

For my foam stamps, I use acrylic paint most of the time and only my pigment inks. I do not ever use Staz-on or dye ink as they will stain the foam. I am pretty particular with my stamps (foam included). I used a new set the other day and used red paint. My foam is now stained to a light light pink. I got as much off as I possibly could, just not all of it. It does not affect how the stamps work, just me being picky. I have many foam stamps.

They aren't that delicate really. If you do have an alpha or a stamp with delicate lines, just brush the toothbrush over or your flat finger.

I use my foam stamps with paint instead of ink. (I'm talking about the larger Making Memories or Heidi Swap type stamps).

I just wash them with water and dot of liquid soap.
