Default Flowers and colors - in season?

When you make floral cards to send, do you pay attention to the season? I am thinking especially of tulips and iris. They are among my favorites but I feel like I should find some asters or mums for fall! And what about colors?

I hadn't consciously thought about it, but I tend to not use "spring" flowers in my "fall" cards. I tend to use more colored leaves than flowers in the fall. Maybe I should get out of my comfort zone and use flowers.

Wanda, you are right about leaves - there are some great examples. Maybe I will just set the tulips aside for a while!

I don't have many fall things so I send what I have if it fits the occasion. I guess I send more to the person, than season if that makes sense.

I use leaves also in the fall and of course that fabulous new Sunflower set from SU.... I tend towards tulips in the spring. Summer I guess mostly daisies. So yes, I do tend to be seasonal!

Forgot to mention I have been enjoying Blossoms Abound (lilacs SU set) very much and I use it pretty much every week. So versatile--everyday, thanks, get well, sympathy, wedding, you name it! I wonder if I will eventually fall into the same trend though of using it mostly in season. My experience with lilac-lovers though is they love them year-round : )

Tulips in spring, leaves in fall, but I just got the Gerbera daisy from TAC so I think I'll be using that this fall.

I spent quite a few $$$$ buying Flower of the Month stamps. But I seem to forget about them more than I should.

I just use the images & colours that I'm drawn to that day, but I'm guessing that I probably am drawn more to what is reflected outside my window, even though it may not be a conscious choice. In that respect, cards made in the winter tend to look more "wintery", because that's what I'm absorbing. Of course, there are definitely the days in the middle of our extremely long winter that I MUST stamp something bright & spring-like or I shall go mad!

I am wondering if since I live in Arizona and it's sunny most days here, if that's why I don't really have a seasonal preference. The thought just dawned on me after reading Darci's post. Makes perfect sense.

I guess I stay pretty seasonal, but then I live in New England where we're very aware of the changes throughout the year! I do, however, use tulips and roses, etc. for sympathy cards, no matter what time of year it is. I might also use an 'out of season' flower if it happens to be the recipient's favorite.

Nope. If I want floral, I send floral regardless of the time of the year

I hadn't really thought about it, but I guess I am seasonal, too! I wonder why I hadn't recognized that before?

I do think you can make any floral work any time, but I think my comfort zone is seasonal.

I'm gardening stupid so I probably send them off season. I have NO IDEA what most flowers are and when they are in bloom.

I am definitely seasonal and am about to get into leaves and pumpkins, etc. It would feel weird to me to send Spring flowers in the Fall...but that is just me.
