Question Flower sets........which one is a MUST have

Hi!
So this week I'll order my first EVER SU! stamps!!
I have choosen some lovely sets which I know I will use all the time.

I don't have much flower stamps though, so I'm thinking of adding one more set.......of FLOWERS.

I never cared much about flower stamps, but I have seen sooooooooo many wonderful cards over here..........that I think I just **NEED** a flower set........LOL

Which set do YOU use all the time??

Depends if you want a retired set or one that will be in the new catty. Petal Prints would be my first vote, but is retiring. Heartfelt Thanks gets my vote for one staying current, but I am sure there will be fabulous new floral sets in the new catty as they are retiring so many this time.

I think the most versatile flower set is Petal Prints. Check out the gallery and see all the different looks it creates!!

I have petal prints and love it, but just ordered Mixed Bouquet (retiring) and am totally loving it. Sassy stems is also on my wish list - and it is not retiring.

Uh Oh. Going to have to put my 2 cents worth in for Bodacious Bouquet. I heart that you can cut the flowers and layer them. The leaf and stem are so versatile as well. Have fun choosing!

Petal Prints...for me it is the most versatile. I like that it has the outline stamp that you can use if you want. It has the three different flower styles...stalk, flower face and flower side. The trio of leaves is nice for the background. Take a look at the gallery and you will see all of the beautiful cards created with Petal Prints.

Love Looks Like Spring (plus Designer Series matching papers) and I really love In Full Bloom -- so many different coloring techniques you can use to make the flowers come to life.

Default Big blossoms...

I think Big Blossoms from Spring Mini is neat. I also like Doodle this and doodle that...have some flowers but other stuff as well. These are my favs!

I must admit....I am not a fan of Roses in Winter...I don't get the excitement for this stamp set.

I like the more "unrealistic" looking flowers like Petal Pushers, Love Without End, Mixed Bouquet (that's my current fave!), Simply Said (my standard "go to set" for a quick card or if i'm having a hard time getting started). my 2 cents

It's all Jeanne's fault that I know own Roses in Winter. Everyone is right about it, though. Can't hardly make an ugly card with it (unless you really, really tried hard!!).

Roses in winter! It's so easy to use and you can not make a bad card or scrap page with it!

Just look at the samples in the gallery!

It's retiring.

If want non-retiring then go for Heartfelt Thanks.

Have fun choosing!

If you like to color then you NEED to get IN FULL BLOOM. Check out this card by Rox71. It is my all time favorite, I CASED it and refuse to send it to anyone right now because I love to look at it. http:////www.splitcoaststampers.com/...y/photo/390581

If you like bold images then I'd say Roses in Winter or Petal Prints, I don't have either one of these 2 but there are some gorgeous cards in the gallery.

I agree, Jeanne. Three of my favorites -- RIW, In Full Bloom, Still Life Stems -- are retiring, but I definitely will not stop using them. The only reason not to buy a retiring set, IMO, is if you are just stamping to be a demonstrator and making money -- not for the love of stamping!

You can't go wrong with Heartfelt Thanks or Petal Prints. Heartfelt Thanks was the first set I bought, and I still love it. I know some people really like Big Blossom, but I don't think it is very versatile.

I agree with Ellebelle - if you enjoy coloring, then definitely get In Full Bloom. If not, I'd vote for Petal Prints, Roses in Winter and Heartfelt Thanks - love them all!! (I should say, I just got Bodacious Bouquet and haven't played with it yet, or it might have made my top 3 because of all the gorgeous cards I've seen on here.)

I see I'm in great company...we all seem to like a lot of the same sets.

My faves are Heartfelt Thanks, In Full Bloom, Doodle This and Simply Said.

Another one not mentioned yet but am not sure if its available now tho is Natural Beauty. I like the flower in it but love the butterfly and bird. I use this set a lot.

Heartfelt thanks! Also, I love Delight in Life, it was a SAB set this year and can't be ordered from the catty, but they are listed on EBay all the time and will be sold here in the Buy/Sell forum after July 1st.

Browse the galleries of your top 5 and choose from there. I betcha you can't just buy one!!! heehee!! Hugs,

My favorite is Mixed Bouquet, and a close second is petal prints. People love the Petal prints set the most....men included! I always get comments on that set, but the women like Mixed Bouquet more than the men....does that help at all? LOL Probably not!

Heartfelt Thanks is awesome. Use it all the time.....

However, made a card with roses in winter yesterday at stamp club and think I'm being converted.
