Hi! I don't like to use the stickers on my clear mount stamps and I know I am not alone! For those who have the TTW set: How do you do this and not go insane?? Every time I go to use this set, I decide that's it. Today is the day I am going to stick all of the stickers on these so that I can find them when I need them!! Then, of course, that never happens. I have the cling sheet stuck to the case so that there are not a million stamps flying all over the case but even when they are all out in front of me I can't find what I need because I am not an expert in reading upside down/backwards and it makes me crazy. Is there any hope for me at all?

Something I saw once at a stamp show - use a small pocket mirror, hold it up to the stamp and you can read the stamp in the mirror. It felt weird, because my eyes kept wanting to focus on the stamp instead of the mirror, but it worked.
Another option - instead of the stickers (which I also refuse to use), take a sharpie and hand print the sentiment on the back. It won't look like the stamp, but at least you'll be able to see which sentiment you're using and whether it's right-side-up (provided you aren't like me, and write it upside-down to begin with).
I ended up buying that set on wood mount, because I had a feeling that the tiny print & stamps would give me fits
Another option, and this depends on how OCD you are about clean stamps, is to ink up each one with Staz-on. Its much easier to read when its inked. I've never had Staz-on harm my clear stamps, as far as I know, its only the cleaner that's a problem.
Mel - they should all fit on one sheet in the DVD case; my wood set all fits in one case, and the WM cases are the same size as the DVD cases, just a little thicker.
There was a definite trick to getting them to fit; let me know if you'd like me to take a photo of how mine are lined up in there.
Kind of labor intensive and it does involve using the stickers, but what about trimming the stickers close to the words and then applying them? You'd still have the benefit of much of the stamp being "more adhering".
Thanks Yes, this is for sure one set that I wish I had bought in the wood mount. I have thought about inking them up with Stazon but decided against it because I thought once they were all done, it would be the same problem only with black rather than red The idea of writing on the back in a Sharpie is a bit more appealing to me...I am going to think about that. My only other thought is to stamp each one out on one of those index sheets, like what Tim Holtz stamps come on, and then stick the stamp underneath the image. I guess I will think on it a bit more and even see if they will all fit on one sheet...or if I can fit 2 sheets inside the DVD case. Thanks for the suggestions! Wish me luck!!
Something I've done in the past. Is take a Sharpie marker and put and Up Arrow. On the back of the Cling foam. It shows me which way is up. I've done this with most of my stamps.
I don't care for the Cling indexing. Hopefully Stampin up! will change that in the near future.
Wood here too, although that's the only way it came when i bought it. It's one of a very few sets-includingTrendy Trees and Lovely as a Tree-that I haven't unmounted. In fact I've added a few other similar sized wood stamps to the original clam shell box.
Since I dont know what you mean by "stickers'...I am going to assume this is an SU thing?
Some clear sets come with the image on the acetate sheet and I just stick the sheet to the storage page. Otherwise I stamp a key page opposite my cling/clear stamps that also acts as a divider between the stamps on opposing pages. If it comes with an image I just cut that out and use that.

Yes, when you order SU's "clear mount" option, they are rubber stamps on cling foam, and they include indexing stickers that are some sort of cling vinyl to put on the backs. The problem is that many of us have found that the stickers don't cling worth a darn, especially with small stamps (like teeny tiny wishes), and double especially if you clean them on the blocks and they get damp underneath, and we don't use them.
There are tons of suggestions for ways to make them cling better - trimming the sticker to leave a section of plain cling foam around the outside, coating them with repositionable glue, that sort of thing - but it's much easier to leave the sticker off to begin with. The cling foam works fine on its own.
Mel - I can verify for you that the stamps stick better to the laminated sheets than they do directly to the plastic of the case. I'm not sure why, and it's not just the SU cling - the regular EZ Mount is the same way.
When I bought my heat laminator, I was feeling quite guilty and wondering if I'd really use it. Now I don't know how I managed without it
