Question File Folder Usage?

Hello all...

I am still a lurking "cardstock collector" for the most part (since I don't have nearly enough time to surf this site as I would like!) but I thought I would ask for any and all ideas on how to re-use old file folders. I cleaned out my storage room this weekend (yea!)...as a former grad student and teacher, I recycled untold pounds of paper and ended up with hundreds (no exaggeration) of used file folders. I thought I might try and use them for tags on my cards but if anyone has anything more imaginative, please let me know! Thanks!

Welcome to SCS Afillo!

I don't know if my ideas would be considered imaginative, but here's a few....

Use them to print and cut templates for all the really cool boxes and things from the Resources board.

Make exploding albums out of them... you cover 'pages' with matts and cardstock anyway.

Use them to make 12x12 paper folders. There was a thread on how to make your own 12x12 hanging folders; 2 out of three file folders.

Donate them to others who might need them

I use file folders to hold my 8 1/2 X 11 cardstock. I put 2 different colors in each folder and I have them in the bottom drawer of my filing cabinet. Works for me!
