Default What is it called when you have a hidden link?

What is it called when you have just a word or two and when you click on it (them) there is a link under it?
I tried to look it up in my computer book on how to do it , but I can't find it because I don't know what it is called.

For example it may say look "Here" and when you click on the word "here" it is actually a link to something.

I hope this makes sense
Thanks
Barbara Jay

I'm assuming you mean that when you click on a word or couple of words, it takes you to a website or somewhere else on the website you already on and those words are underlined? if so, it's called a Hyperlink.

As an example, if you clicked on THESE WORDS, they would take you to My SCS Gallery because I have typed the words then added the link afterwards.

Hope this helps

Barbara,
It's pretty simple.

Type the word you want to be clickable.
Then, highlight it.
Click the thing that looks like the picture I attached.
A box will come up and that's where you type out the actual website address, for example, http://blah blah...
Then, hit okay and your word or words will become a clickable link.

Hugs,
Gina

There is also a tutorial right here at SCS. There are a lot of helpful tutorials under the "help" button in the top right corner.

Wow, I've wondered about this, too, but never thought to ask!

Thanks for asking the question, Barbara Jay. And thanks to all of you who responded for your clear and precise instructions. I think it's possible that even a non-geek (that would be me :oops can now run with the big dogs and "hyperlink". How cool is that? Very! Off to give it a try...

You can add hyperlinks in your emails also, if there is no globe to click, just right click on the highlighted word and you should see a drop down menu and click on "add hyperlink"

You can also do this in card descriptions in the SCS gallery when you upload a card and want to link to something in the space where you can write something about the card you just uploaded; just type (without the spaces)

[ url = websiteaddress ] words you want people to see [ /url ]

Before you became Gina K Designs, were you a school teacher? You explain everything so well. I LOVE your videos and cards. You have such a wonderful speaking voice and rate of speech (not too slow/not too fast). I just love watching you make a card.

I always wondered how people do that (make a word link to a website). Now I can do it also! So cool!

Thank you for the question OP and thank you for the simple and easy to follow answer Gina K! And you even attached a pic. You make the BEST tutorials!!

Don't feel left out girls. I have a hard time trying to figure out some tech stuff too. I am thinking of starting a blog but I don't even know where to start or what to do. Gina you are always so helpful to others. I too love your videos. You do a lovely job.
