I just bought the Sizzix Sizzlits Die Set 12 Pack. I was SO excited! But I can't get over half of the intricate word dies to cut properly. Already wasted tons of cardstock. Tried the metal plate with the die. Tried using wax paper under the paper. Tried one shim after an other. Nothing seems to make them cut properly. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Reason: Wanted to add picture.
I use them in my Cuttlebug with no problem. I just went and ran one through: A, metal shim, B, die, cardstock, B. They won't cut heavy material, I used 80lb cardstock just now.
I am finding that the images seem to cut fine. And it will cut so long as I use thin DP - but I can't get the words to cut decently with cardstock. Very unhappy.

BTW, I am using a Cuttlebug as well. Any other suggestions out there?

Someone, on an other thread I think, mentioned that they took the "rubber" off of their Sizzlits. Would that work with these? Anyone try it with these?

Try placing the die closer to the edge of the plate instead of the center. Also, place die diagonally instead of straight - I have a strip die that won't cut when straight but works perfect when diagonal.

Wow, that actually worked for a number of them. Only one that I can't get to cut at all. Thank you.

It's a weird trick but worked for me. Keep trying with the last one - turn it, move it around on plate. You can use a Sharpie to write on it when you find something that works.
