Default Crayola Colored Pencils?

For those of you who use the Crayola colored pencils as opposed to the Prismacolor... do you like them? What size box (how many pencils?) did you get? Do you feel there is a wide enough color selection? How well do they match up to SU's 48 colors?

I'm on the verge of ordering the Prismacolors but I just realized that some people are using the Crayolas... I have no problem buying the $5 Crayolas if people are happy with them instead of the $40 Prismas!

I have both and prefer my Prismacolor pencils for the Gamsol technique. Both have great color selections. I thought I was fine with just the Crayola pencils, but then I tried the Prismacolor - Wow!

I've read that others use the Crayola pencils with the Gamsol, but I find it doesn't work as well for me. I still use my Crayola pencils for some things, but overall I prefer the Prismacolor.

And for the price of the Prismacolor pencils on Viking - buy them! You won't regret it!

I use the crayola pencils. Heck, it it's good enough for the great Lunar Lana, it's good enough for me!

I've tried both and can't get the crayola ones to work that well with the gamsol. But the prisma pencils with gamsol... Wow! Love them. I only have a 12 pack... but just ordered the 120 set tonight!

I don't have the Prismacolor to compare, but I purchased a pack of 50 Crayola pencils because they were on clearance for $3.50. So far I've had good luck with the Gamsol technique using these. And I've been able to match most SU colors that I need. I would like to try the Prismacolor or see a side-by-side comparison of Crayola vs. Prismacolor.
