Default Favorite brand of scrapbooks

I am recently in the market for scrapbooks. Does anyone have a favorite that is good in quality? I'm wondering if it's just best to get SU's, or if there is another brand, like Making Memories or K&Comapny?

K & Company is a favorite of mine! I am a new SU demo and got the 6x6 linen brag book and must say that I LOVE their albums and will be buying them now. HTH

My favorite is K&Co, but Colorbok also makes a very nice album. Both have true 12X12 protectors. K&Co even makes a page protector that will expand with lumpy pages.

CTMH has wonderful quality albums. We have Linen in 12 colors, plus cover protectors. We also carry simulated leather and leather in 4 colors each. With our spine expanders, our albums can comfortably hold 50 pages. They are true 12x12. They are top loading, post bound albums. There's a thread at 2Peas right now discussing our albums if anybody would like to see some opinions from someone other than a CTMH rep<G>

I use Creative Memories albums. I love their quality! I do not top load, but there is a way with CM's albums that you can make it into a top loading album

Default Memory Makers

I just bought 2 9x9 by memory makers. They were on sale on Joann.com. Hopefully they are good!!! They are for bridemaids gifts I'm putting together for my 2 best friends.

I've heard from several people with K&Co albums that had problems with them after a few years.
I have a bunch of CM albums, and they are very good quality. I've switched back to top loading, and am happier there.
I now use the SU albums, and haven't had any problems with it. I love how well the SU cardstock fits in it. I had another album once, and had problems with the pages either buckling or seeing different colored cardstock behing their pages. I avoid this by using the SU cardstock.
I started out with Pioneer albums, and they are just awful. Falling apart, hazy page protectors that have tears in them.
I have two Mrs. Grossman's, but I don't like the flimsy vinyl spine (if you want to call it that) or the way it looks on a bookshelf when the book is full.
I've heard REALLY good things about Colorbok on other boards when they talk about which books to get. That is apparently the one to get, but I haven't tried it yet.
HTH!!

Thanks! Wow, studied up on your scrapbooks?! I know someone that does CM, and I'm pretty sure that's all she uses.

I did order the Making Memories, so hopefully they won't crap out on me- or the people I am giving them to in a few years.

I use CTMH for obvious reasons (I also love the 9x9 size - since I am just beginning to scrapbook, it seems like less of an endeavor). But my mom uses CM and has given me several finished albums using CM scrapbooks - they are very nice and seem to hold up very well.

I love the CTMH albums. I have SU and CTMH. Both albums are good, but the CTMH pages are made of heavier duty clear plastic and don't tend to get the dents and crinkles in them. But SU are better than the ones I had about at Joann. But no idea what brand they were. I was new to scrapbooking and didn't pay attention.
