Default Favorite Brand of Baby Wipes?

Our Walmart is out of the brand of baby wipes that I depend on and they won't be getting more in for awhile. What brand do you recommend as backup?

I don't know what brand you usually use, but I never buy anything but Huggies. I've been using them for 7 years. Tried others. Either can't stand the smell or they give my kids rashes. My 7 year old has Cerebral Palsy and is still in diapers. Trust me, he doesn't need rashes.

LOVE Huggies! They grip well, unlike those slimy Pampers wipes.

Default AHHH no huggies!

I run a daycare and kids bring their own wipes- I've tried almsot every brand between having 11 in diapers! I HATE huggies- they are too washcloth like. I love Costco brand and target brand, and they are both cheap!

Dot2Dot - I think you mean to clean your stamps so I'll answer your question with that in mind. If I'm mistaken - so sorry!

After reading many posts from people who love to clean their stamps with baby wipes, I decided to try it in addition to my SU cleaner.

So far've only tried one kind and they are Target's "Fragrance Free" store brand. No problems so far as long as I don't rub or twist the stamp into them - then I get little white fuzzies.

I like target soft cloth wipes. They are just perfect, and get the job done. I used to be an exclusively huggies girl, but then I found these and they are great! HTH!

We use Parent's choice at Walmart. Love them and they are quite a bit less expensive. I hope those aren't the kind they are out of and not getting back in. We have a 1 year old and use them a lot!

Caution: i've been told that the baby wipes won't hurt the stamps but the residue left on the rubber can harm your ink pads...sort of makes sense???

It's pampers all the way at my house! Huggies are too thick and too dry for me! Or for my little one's rump.

For stamps, I have a tub on the target cheapies!

If your cleaning your stamps I would use Stampin Mist!!!! I too heard that baby wipe residue is hard on your stamps... I only use Stampin Mist because I want to preserve the investment I make in my stamps!!

For day care kids I use Huggies or Pampers. Usually whatever the parents buy and bring to my house!!

I use the Wal-Mart brand...Parents Choice I think it is called. I can buy a case of refill packs for less than the cost of the Pampers refill pack that only has two in it. The thickness is just right and they aren't sopping wet.

But for cleaning my stamps...Stampin' Mist. The only time I use baby wipes on my stamps is after using craft ink or the metallic inks...then it is right onto the stampin' scrub with stampin' mist to finish the cleaning job.

edited to correct pre-coffee spelling errors...when will that pot be done brewin'??

I use both Stampin Mist and also baby wipes. I've tried most brands; but my favorite is the American Fre (Kmart) brand!!!

I like huggies brand and then I too use the stamping scrub and mist afterward. When I use dk staining colors, I use stazon cleaner then the stamping scrub with stamping mist. Is there a better wipe brand for your stamps?

I have to put my vote in for Pampers. I love the popup feature for getting a wipe out of the box.

I am using Huggies right now (on sale!) - and I dislike having to try to get one out of the tub.

The only brand that I have used that I no longer will buy is the Kroger brand (grocery store). They are about half the size of the brand name ones - so you have to use more - therefore - no savings!!!

I will try Target brand next - love that store!!

For my children (I have 4 - finally only 1 in diapers!) and my stamps - I use the plainest wipes I can find - nothing added and no fragrance.
Right now I have whatever it is Sam's Club sells.

Yes, I meant for stamping. My boys and girls are long out of diapers!

I have used Equate from Walmart for years and love them but they are out and not expected to have any for several weeks. I am wondering which brands are fuzz free (as the Equate) are. I have used baby wipes on my stamps for nearly a decade and no problem with stamps or pads at all! It is an inexpensive and non-messy way to clean them. I also leave a toothbrush right inside the box in case I have a deep stamp like Jody Poesy (11 points!!! that requires getting in the crevices).

Good morning girls!
I, too, sometimes use wipes to clean stamps. I always keep a tub of homemade wipes on hand! (in the car, in the bathroom , by the stamp stuff, etc.) No white fuzzy's and you know what is in them.

Here is the recipe:
1 roll Bounty Big Roll Paper towels (cut in half with electric knife)
Pull out card board core (it's kind of tricky!)
Put 1 roll (which if 1/2 of the whole roll!) into a rubbermaid container (kind of tall and skinny one, about the size of the cut roll)
Then mix 2 cups water, 2 tbsp baby wash (I also use liquid hand soap),
and 1 tbsp baby oil. Mix well and pour on top of paper towels. Let soak in! That's all! They are easy and pretty cheap to make!

Hope that helps a bit!

Thanks for the recipe! Do regular wipes have preservatives? Wondering if that is necessary to keep them from getting yucky.

Wow, huggies REALLY in the majority here...kinda shocking. I like pampers - fragrance free only - but almost exclusively use the Kirkland brand from Costco and I do mean use. I use them for everything from bottoms, to eye makeup remover (when I wear it) and have used on stamps also (no fuzzies) And they pop up, a total must!

I started buying flushable wipes for my son when he was potty training. They are less than 1/2 the price of 'baby' wipes and are awesome in the stamp room.
Our Walmart carries them near the toilet paper because I think they are made for 'adults' ?!?!

Walmart' parent's choice is my vote. We bought then one time at the end of a payday and we've never gone back. My husband likes that they are BIG and fit his big hands. Good idea to buy the flushable wipes for potty training!

dot2dot,
I'm not sure about the preservatives. However, I know that I have had some wipes for 6 months or so in my vehicle and they don't get yucky!

Me too -- I tried them all, Pampers wipes were too wet and the others left rashes. The Huggies natural without alcohol is what I used with Pampers diapers, LOL for what it is worth -- I tried Pampers wipes and Huggies diapers and didn't like them as much, this was the combo that worked best for my babies anyway!!

I have found that I like any of the store brands (CVS, Kroger, Target, etc.) better than the national brands....and they're cheaper too.

Before I got my stampin' scrub and stampin' mist I used parents' choice from wal-mart and loved them -- both the dispenser and the wipes. Then I thought I would try a cheaper version from Aldi and I absolutely hate them! They say they're fragrance free, but they have an ugly smell to them and they don't dispense well. I now only use the wipes to clean my imaging sheets, so I won't need a new box for a while, but when I do it's back to Parents' choice.
