Default Demo's -- Opinions Please!

Hi Demo's -

Here's my question - my husband & I have a computer consulting company on the side of our full time jobs. We do websites, web site hosting, and some other things. I'm looking for some other websites to design to get some other experience since I can't get any at work.

Here are some questions:

1. I was wondering if you are using the SU web site?
2. If you are using the SU website do you like it? And is it useful?
3. What would be some things you would like to change about it or add to it?
4. What would you be willing to pay per month for a more personalized site?

I'm just trying to decide if this is something worth pursing. Any opinions and comments are welcome. We recently bought a new house and I'm just looking for some other business on the side.

If I get some interest in this I'll probably try to put together some sort of shell and I'll do another post.

By the way - I'm not a demo - so if this is something SU wouldn't allow please let me know that too.

Thank you for your help!

I am a SU Demo & I have a SU website & I love it. I don't really have any complaints here. You may want to visit the Stampin' Up! website http://www.stampinup.com or call 1-800-STAMP UP to be sure if this is something they would allow. I'm not sure.

I have signed up for the SU website, but I didn't find it very helpful. I never had anybody contact through the site and I hate the fact that I can't see how many times the site has been viewed. The last Direct Sell company I worked for, had a ticker at the bottom of the site so I could see how many times my site was visited. I also had a guest book that allowed people just to enter a name or message, just so I knoew they were there. OH! I should mention that I have been a demo for less than a year, so my customer base isn't very big, so that may be why I didn't get a lot of response.

I don't know if this helps or not. Good luck!

Michele

SU does allow websites that aren't hosted by them, but there are some *very* specific guidelines about what they do allow. You may want to ask your demo if you can read her manual as to what is allowed...

Quote:

1. I was wondering if you are using the SU web site?
No. I'm not willing to pay that much per month to have a website that looks just like all of the other demo websites, especially with the limitations they have on the number of samples that you can showcase in your gallery.

2. If you are using the SU website do you like it? And is it useful?
NA

3. What would be some things you would like to change about it or add to it?
Rotating pictures showing different cards would be nice. A place to sign up for the mailing list. A special password protected part for stamp club members or downline. A place to RSVP for events or request a workshop date.

4. What would you be willing to pay per month for a more personalized site?
I guess that would depend on what kind of results I got.
