Default Shew me your QUICKEST card please,PUHLEEESE

It just takes me forever to pick out my stamps - choose my colors - get me cardstock - figure out my lay out - put it together just right .... all while my husband is standing around with his arms crossed , tapping his foot, looking at his watch, eyes squinched , nostrils flared .... well maybe I am exaggerating but ... you get the picture.

Can you please share your favorite quick, easy card - you know those one minute wonders that don't require a lot of thought, cutting, coloring, layering, embellishing etc - that you know you can alway count on.

I need to put together some "standby" ideas that can just be whipped out

I have a card I did at one of my demonstrator's shows. Super simple. Just one roller, with two different colors makes a nice card ( plus a phrase and ribbon). I have to upload it so I'll post a link for ya later

There was a thread a while back I think might help you. Try searching for "Plain Janes"

All of these are under 10-15 minute cards (I don't have any that are less than 10 minutes).
Also using some kind of Designer paper or scrapbooking paper makes a fast card, too.

ROTFL. I knew what you meant. Unfortunately I'm a very slow creator so I'm no help but interested in the thread as well.

Ok this is NOT my card...it is jen70's, but so far this happens to be my all time favorite card on SCS...I love it! And it has no layers or embellishments!

What a great thread and the samples everyone's posted are awesome!!

Forgive me that I don't have an actual card to link to, but here's a sketch of a super-quick & simple card. Basically, you make a card base, then wheel a design across the top, add a sentiment, and crimp across the wheeled design. To dress it up, put 2 way glue across the crimped ridges and sprinkle on glitter. Super easy!

Here are some quick cards that pack a punch:

Layerless Spring Garden 1
Layerless Spring Garden 2
Layerless Serene Daisy

My goal with a quick card is NO LAYERS! Pick 1 background, 1 decorative "focal" set, and 1 sentiment.
Stamp the background, DTP ink around the edges of the card, stamp your flowers or other focal set, and then stamp your sentiment last. If you know the sentiment you plan to use, leave the right amount of space for it. Works best for large sentiments, IMO.

I also meant to mention checking this thread out, the challenge was to make cards with no layers.
