Fancy Pants Stamps

Hi Everyone,

I was stamping with my up upline today and she showed me some Fancy Pants stamps that she just bought. We tried stamping with them and they were completely blurry and looked terrible. Do others have this problem? Will all of them do this? She bought 3 huge stamp sets and it would be terrible if none of them worked well.

TIA

Did you try roughing them up, with an emory board or a sanding block? I do have a few sets of large fancy pants stamps, and while I love them, I feel that they are more sensitive to the kind of ink I use also. After I got used to them, I really love the large images.

It may be a quality problem with that brand. A stamp store near me put their entire stock of them on sale and then dropped the line due to too many dissatisfied stampers.

Use a white eraser or a fine grit sandpaper or emery board to condition them. Chalk ins will then work the best for these.

I really like my Fancy Pants stamp sets. I've never had a problem using them. If you're not use to using clear stamps it can be somewhat of a challenge to get a good image. The responses you received earlier are good advice - condition the stamp first, make sure the stamps is clean, and craft inks work the best with them. That's my 2 cents. :)
