Fade resistance - coloring options

Right now I use an aquapainter with ink from the classic ink pad lid to color my stamped images. I am concerned about fade resistance before I use this to color images in my scrapbook (in fact I haven't stamped in my scrapbook because of this).

Craft inks would be the best option, but can they be used to color images?
What about chalks and watercolor crayons? Any ideas as to fade resistance?

Look on the product packaging, for reference to fade resistance/light fastness. Most products that are such, have it annotated on the packaging.

Yes, you could use your Aqua Painter with Craft Ink, but I'd be more likely to try this by using the craft REINKERS, as opposed to the pads themselves? Or, try swooping the craft pad against acetate or a plastic paint to leave a smudge of ink for you to dip your brush into.

I've used craft ink to color images. I've also used the journal markers scribbled on a foam plate as a palate and colored things in with that.
