Default Everyday Flexible Phrases Alternative

I love EFP, EEP and the new Amazing to Zany set, but when I think about the cost, and the mounting, and all of the words I would never use, I thought maybe I would try something like this....

http://www.rubberd.com/justrite.htm

Has anyone used this brand of dial a stamp, or know of another one? If you have used one, do you like it, are there draw backs?

I have one & truthfully, it works ok for some things, but because of the spacing, it doesn't look as nicely as the EFP in my opinion. BUT....the mini snap stamps seem to work GREAT!!! LOVE those!!!!

I was thinking of getting the amazing to zany set too, I didn't even think about the time cutting and mounting them all... now i'm 2nd guessing it. I don't know if I have the patience to cut out such small words... what are the mini snap stamps?

here is a link to the mini snap stamps, I have heard that some don't like the spacing in these, but for $7 I think I should give them a try.

The dial stamps don't stamp or line up well and often smudge. I vote wholeheartedly for SNAP STAMPS~!!! I put off buying the EFP's because of the cost and now am creating any words, phrases and sentences I like! And, they line up beautifully!

I have the snap stamps (which I love) and some clear word sets I bought from Impression-Obsession I have Sentiments and Express Yourself. I think there are about 90 words in Sentiments and about 70 words in Express Yourself. It's a really great price, and I have used them a lot. I don't mind clear stamps for words--it's great to be able to put them exactly where I want them.

Since I bought these, I have felt no need for the Everyday word sets.

I also went and looked at them, and may have to shop too now!! Those would be perfect, and for those I don't care if they are clear or not. I would rather pay the 34.00 than the 119.00!!

That was kinda my thought. Someone on SCS found these a few months ago and posted about them. The owner of I-O has added a couple stamps to each set. I can't remember which ones. (I know, lots of help!) You could email her and ask. She's very quick to respond. Also, she says she is coming out with a supporting set for Sentiments. I keep checking for it. You do need a clear block to use these, if you don't have one.

Those seem like a cool choice, do you need an acrylic block?

Yes. She has them on the website, or you can get them even at Walmart, craft stores, Michaels, etc. I had some from a few years ago that I got from Clear Dollar Stamps store on Ebay--they were a great deal at the time. A small clear plastic ruler might work in a pinch, until you get something better.

I have many many snap stamps! A major purchase that was an impulse buy that I totally regret. I do not recommend any other than the smallest size -- I just don't like the spacing between the letters -- looks like individual letters instead of a real word. I will buy Amazing to Zany!!

I spent about $10 incl shipping on the formal and casual 1/8 inch snap stamps. I have already used them a few times, and I think they'll be a good investment. Pretty sure I won't buy any more. If I had the $ for the 3 SU sets, I would totally buy them! But for me, the I-O sets were a good compromise.

I totally agree. Haven't had very good luck at all with the dial stamp. It just looks tacky.

DON'T GET THE DIAL STAMPS!!! I made the mistake of buying one and it was a total waste of money!!! I contacted the company and they never did anything or responded to my complaint. I am out $25 CDN. The letters are not properly spaced so, no matter how careful you are the bottom of the next letter (underneath) prints onto your paper. Snap stamps are awesome and I totally suggest to pick them up...they are the bomb!! So easy to use too. EFP EEP are both great too though!

just my 2cents

I have to agree with the others who posted that the dial stampers are no good. I got one made by Provo Craft and HATE it! It was a total waste of $$$.
