EP and Detail EP, what's the difference?
What is the difference between the 2?

How I see it - if the line work is fine and very detailed use the Detail EP.

embossing powder
I look for detail any time I can. It looks so much clearer. I find that non detail powder clumps often....SH

I think the Detail powders are finer so they adhere to smaller areas such as script more cleanly.

I ALWAYS use detail embossing powder. That way I can just use one kind no matter what stamp image I'm using and pull out the container when I need it. I keep all my EP and glitter in individual Glad storage containers. Hope that helps!

But the detail EP doesn't come in as wide a color selection, unless I just haven't found it?
|
You're right. But the only colors I use a lot are gold, silver, white and clear. I have purchased the embossing stacks, but don't find myself using them like I should. :)

detail EP granules are finer than regular EP granules. They make a crisper line when heated.

I have some non-SU! EP from the college years when I was causally stamping, but have heard great things and seen a difference in quality. I was thinking of trying a stack, but I don't think I'd use it as much. From what I have I use the clear and silver the most. I'm going to give it a try and get one of those detailed EP. Thanks everyone for your help!
