envelopes for 3x3 cards
Where do you get envelopes for 3x3 cards or do you make your own? I was planning to make some things for a craft fair and this size would be great for some of the things I wanted to make.
Thanks!:) |
You can purchase them from you Stampin' Up! demo. They're available in packs of 40 in either whisper white or very vanilla.

I searched all over online and in stores for these last year. The only place I found them (unless I wanted 500 or something like that) was Stampin Up.
|
They are available in the SU! catalog. There may be other places to purchase them, but I haven't found out where and I have looked around. Of course they are on ebay but overpriced there.

You can buy any size envelope you want from Marcospaper. They carry the 3-1/8 x 3-1/8 size for $27.95 for 250 or $7.25 for 50. I buy envelopes from them all the time. Check them out!

Thanks for asking that question
I was wondering the same thing! I never thought of making 3x3 cards until I found this site. There are so many wonderful examples that I would like to emulate, but I don't have a SU demonstrator and haven't even seen one of their catalogs.

don't want to be a downer...
square envelopes = extra postage! |

Try here for 3 1/8 X 3 1/8 envelopes. There is also a template for 3x3s.

There are small Mary Engelbreit Christmas Card sets at Mike's. They are perfect for the 3x3's, quality is a different issue, but if you are looking for something quick, you could try it. There are ~10-12 cards with envelopes in a small box.
Amy Westerman did a really great job decorating one and it can be found on her blog here- http://heartfeltgreetings.blogspot.c...monday_17.html These looked so great when she finished them. |
#B33 at this site if you like clear envelopes.

What I do is put a cute little brass paperclip with a ribbon tied onto it and clip the card close this way, not using an envelope. A 12" X 12" piece of cardstock will make a total of 8 little 3" X 3" cards. A 3" X 3" out of regular CS is about 5 cents a piece and textured CSis about 6 cents a piece. The envelopes are 18 each! That's why I use the cute little paperclip.

Does anyone have a template for the 3 x 3 envelopes
|
I think these 3 x 3 are cute also, but will probably just use them as a gift tag,
and no card, with a small punched hole and ribbon |
Those 3x3 cards are so cute that sometimes you just want to send it in the mail. Some genius on SCS shared her trick & I hate that I have no idea who! here goes...
Take a regular card envelope & use a decorative punch in the bottom right corner. Slide a colored strip of paper or a nice patterned paper in to show through the hole. Glue it down so it doesn't slide & *VOILA* your own fancy envelope that meets mail regulation & will hold the little 3x3 in place in the envelope! Good luck! |
