Red face Envelope Glue

I've been playing with my SU envelope template and was wondering if anyone else can give me some tips. I have been using mono to glue it together. Is that the best thing to use, or is there something better?
Also, for the part of the envelope that you lick: I heard there is an envelope glue. I went to Michaels and AC Moore, and looked in the Viking catalog. No luck. I just looked on Frantic Stamper.com. They have it, but it's $2.50 with a $4.25 or so shipping charge.
Does anyone know where I can get it, or of another alternative?

I've made lots of envelopes and have always used tombow mono adhesive - no problems with it holding. To seal the flap I use a product called "Lick & Stick". It's in a squeeze container with a sponge-type applicator on top (kinda like shoe polish). The container says it's by 'Green Sneakers, Inc.' in Flenmington, New Jersey. I have no idea where I got it from, most likely one of my local scrapbook stores. Good stuff!

www.greensneakers.com has the Lick n Stick stuff. They are a great site, lots of wonderful products and reasonable shipping if I remember correctly (and I'm in Canada, so that's sayin' something!).

Check 'em out!

Michael's must have stopped stocking it because that's where I got mine. My SIL gave me hers too because she thought it was a bother to use. More for me and I like it just fine.
I store mine upside down so the tip doesn't dry out but if it does just wash it under the tap and it'll be fine again.

Thanks. I will check another local Michael's. If I am only buying one bottle, shipping is twice the price of the product, so a local store makes sense. Thanks for the storage tip as well. I can't wait to use it!

I have seen it at Archivers if you have one of them near you. It's a great product!

Unfortunately, I never heard of Archivers. I am in Maryland. I will try another Michael's and then maybe the lss. If not, I guess I will just have to find some other things to order online to make the shipping charges worthwhile. Hmmmm..
Thank you to everyone for your help!

I think there is going to be envelope glue in Stampin' Up!'s spring mini. There is going to be double sided designer paper and an envelope template and the envelope glue. Fun stuff!
