Default Embossing Powder Questions

When embossing the images in the Lovely as a Tree set (tree grouping and Pine) does the detail EP make a difference over the "regular" EP? Also, what is the difference between the Hologram Highlights EP and Iridescent Ice EP?
Thanks.

IMHO, detail EP does a better job of detailed images or images with fine lines. It has smaller particles so can be more accurate, so to say.

To see the differences in how different embossing powders perform, just select a small stamp with a little bit of a bold part and some fine lines - maybe a little leaf or one of the little wonders stamp. Then stamp with versamark, emboss with one color, stamp another beside it, emboss with another - so you have a sample card of how all of your embossing powders look when they are melted. You will be amazed how different they are!

Also...(after thought here...) I mean that not only is there big differences in opacity, thickness, sharpness, shiny/matte, glittery, pearl, and shade between different powders , the stuff often melts to be a very different color than what you see in the jar. Melting and looking is the only way to know, and since it is permanent when melted, testing on a sample sheet can save paper and time in the long run.

I tried embossing the Pine tree in Lovely as a Tree with regular white ep (not detail) and I really didn't like the result...I don't have the white in detail powder, but I'm thinking I'm gonna need it for something like that.
