Embossing Powder question?

What is the difference between the detailed embossing powder and the plain embossing powder in the STampin' UP catalog?

I only use detailed. It is a MUCH finer powder and you rarely get it flaking off. Also when you heat the metallic ones you end up with a fine smooth sheen rather than a sandpapery look. It is also better for detailed stamps as you get a much more refined look.

The detailed embossing powder is much finer. It works great on stamps with a lot of detail or intricate parts. The regular powder works great on most images.
