Default No-line coloring

What is no-line coloring please? On this week's "Weekly Inkling" the ink color was mentioned but I'd never heard of it before. Are there examples anywhere?

With no-line coloring the image is stamped with such a light color that it is seldom visible after the image is colored. My choice of ink for no-line coloring is Picket Fence Distress Ink.

No line coloring is a technique that is used to make it look like your art is original instead of stamped! ;)
You stamp an outline image in a really light color of ink that either blends with the medium you are coloring with or just disappears because you color over it.
Inks that can be used are various. Anything light (and you can stamp off before stamping on your card if it's not light enough) is what you want to use. Fadeout ink, light colors of distress ink, etc all work well. Then you color your image with your chosen media...right up to the lines and it all blends in and doesn't even look like it's stamped first. Magic!

Two tutorials in our tutorial section:

No Line Watercolor Tutorials at Splitcoaststampers

No Line Coloring Tutorials at Splitcoaststampers

ETA, I think they both predate the fadeout inks now available.

Thanks everyone. I've now learned something new, just when I thought I'd tried it all!
