Embossing on glass balls?

I wanted to see if anyone has ever tried to emboss on the glass Christmas balls. I am afraid that the glass is too thin and will explode. I was wondering if anyone else have tried this before I lose an eye over this technique!

Hi,
I have put them in the oven to bake clay on them at about 200 degrees. Don't know if this will help you I hope so.

I embossed the square ornaments that you can get from Michael's last year. They turned out great. I would suggest that you use your embossing buddy to keep the EP from sticking where you don't want it too. The glass will get hot, but I never had one break. You will need to hold the ornament at the top. Good luck. BTW, I used the snowflake from Frosty and silver EP.
